Hole # 6:
This is a new hole at Fox Haven and it is a straight away par
4. The fairway is lined on both sides by aspen trees so one
should stay out of these or you will pay dearly. A bunker is
placed in front of a raised green.
Hole # 7:
Hole # 7 is another new hole at Fox Haven and is a par 5. One
must be careful on the drive not to carry your ball into the
water. A 3 wood is good here. An agressive player will go
for the green in two but if long or left, your ball maybe in the
water. A lay up is the best play with a short chip to a kidney
shaped green.
Hole # 8:
This is the original hole # 8 at Fox Haven, however, it was
converted from a par 3 to a par 4. There is water to the right
and a well placed drive will leave you with a short iron to a nice bowl
shaped green.
Hole # 9:
Hole # 9 is again a new hole at Fox Haven and one can watch this
hole from the clubhouse. It is a par 3 and the green is well
protected by water and bunkers. A well hit tee shot to a medium
to large green will hopefully end upo with a 1 or 2 on your score card.
Hole # 10:
Hole # 10 is a new hole but utilizes part of the old fairway #
1. A nice drive will leave you with a very long iron, 5 wood or 3
wood to a well sheltered green.
Hole # 11:
This hole is a short straight Par 4 reachable in one shot by the better
drivers in the group. This was hole # 2 on Fox Haven's old front
9. The first green is in play and likely in
2005, the farther green will be the one used. Your drive must be
straight or off to the
left slightly in order to avoid having to take your second shot over
the trees on the right. The green is the smallest one at Fox
Haven and if it the conditions are very dry, your second shot will not
hold the
green. Most of the time it is advantageous to bring the ball in
high and land it slightly just in front of the green - it will likely
release onto the green. If the conditions are nice and moist, the
ball will hold on the green if you fly it to the green.
